Sweet Swedish retreat

We're moving offices today...Stock will follow on Saturday and we will work throughout the weekend to be ready for Monday morning....I'm exhausted but happier...
Everyone is very excited by our new offices and they are in a nice part of London....
Genevieve, our new Customer Service Advisor started on Monday...and Florent is joining our marketing team on Tuesday next week....

I want the stars and the sweeties too....

These last 3 weeks have been our most roller-coaster weeks of the year! Mostly because out of the blue, the bank which was managing our building had decided that all businesses including us should vacate the building by 12th August. Now I know what you are going to say...Can they do this?! Well, yes they can. To cut a long story short, owner filed for bankruptcy, bank took over management of the building, lease expired, bank happy to have businesses in the building then....bank no longer happy to have businesses in the building so after a quiet relaxing weekend there where I took Mila for her French holidays, I came back to something a lot less relaxing...In fact, I have been so stressed out since then that my stomach feels like I have been drinking G&T for a fortnight minus the upside of drinking a nice and cool G&T...
Now moving home can be pretty stressful so imagine how finding new premises, getting quotes from removal companies, sorting out phone lines, internet, insurance, moving a whole warehouse full of (gorgeous) stock in less than 2 weeks feel...simply awful!
I wrote many drafts to share what we were going through but never posted them because I wanted the blog to be inspiring and I just thought it was our problem anyway but I have to admit that the imminent move is disruptive and somehow I have to explain to those who may read this blog and order from us what is going on....
Today we got some fantastic feedback from customers but we also got a few negative ones and although we are always thrilled to hear about the good ones, we seriously care about the negative ones.
However, as much as we aim to offer 5*****customer service, we are a small team and not some huge corporate companies with thousands of staff and we are doing as much as we can to keep on top of everything.
So I just wanted to say to those customers who are currently disappointed, please bear with us...
We just need to get through the move on Friday and from next one week, we should be back to our normal, efficient self...and then I will have a proper G&T!

Lucas...4 months

Lucas at 4 months....he is now as tall as Corto, my brother's French Bulldog...I was trying to take some pictures but he kept coming to me to leak the camera or my face...In the end, I had to give him my old Stella Forest necklace to chew to keep him still....

Inspiring white, minimalist, relaxed interiors

Recently, I have been spending a lot of time on this site, admiring the work of Kasper Rønn and Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen, two Danish Architects who set up NORM, a multidisciplinary studio focusing on residential architecture, commercial interiors and industrial design.
As you will see from the images below, NORM designs minimalist, inspiring and beautiful living spaces that exudes calm and beauty.
I could spend hours in these homes....They all feel so calm, relaxed and airy....
I first saw Humlebaek House on the front cover of the magazine issued by MENU, the Danish company behind this best-seller, which I received at work months ago. At the time, I never really got around to go through it but I kept the mag because the shot on the front cover was mood board inspiration worthy.
But this week, as I was going through piles of my paper in my office to throw things away, in preparation to our imminent move to leafy Chiswick (West London), I came across again this stunning shot of these three hanging black lights above the vintage table and then I discovered NORM...

I have received the dye ordered from here, washed the vintage sheets from my last trip there so today I'm all set for my little DIY project. Have a wonderful weekend....

I'm kind of speechless (which is not very often...) but we've added these very cool STAR t-shirts...what?.... 3 days ago only and the small size has already sold out and the other sizes are running seriously low and the amazing thing is that we had orders coming from France, UK, Netherlands and the US.
Personally I love it when I see parcels going to lots of different countries...It feels like BODIE and FOU is travelling and I keep thinking about all these little parcels with our branded tape and our little black logo being seen by a lot of people...
That is if the delivery man cares about it...probably not... but I like the idea...
So now we have also the STAR scarf in stock...
WHY?? Frankly because I think it's the MUST-HAVE accessory for Mothers & Daughters...
I know that it's the kind of things that Mila & I would wear and Elodie (who spotted them in the first place) and Lily would definitively wear so I'm sure lots of you won't even think twice about getting one for you and your little girl (although the white and navy would look pretty cool on a boy too!)

C'est pas difficile (it's not difficult) I like everything in her blog, her perfect selection of links to blogs and shops, her coup de coeur, the relaxing layout of her blog but most of all, I'm totally in love with her home....

Have a lovely weekend...I'm off painting our lounge all in white. Then I will need to convince the man in the house to take the carpet off our stairs to paint everything white and I think, given the number of stains this monkey has made since joining our family, I may well be lucky
